I don’t know who you are, and I don’t know your story.
But I feel like I need to say “Hi!”
And to ask how you REALLY are? (No polite answers please!)

For years I didn’t know who I was. I was lost, simply running circles around my life.
No idea what I was doing. No clue where I was going.
I wore the shoes of a more sophisticated person – society told me that I needed to. (I hate shoes)

I always felt like I needed a plan.
That there were answers to all of life’s questions that were hidden somewhere just out of my grasp.
Every decision I made had a finality to it, and to go where I needed to go, I had to be flipping good at making them.
And, if I kept running the hamster wheel of life, everything might actually make sense.

But what I have realised of late, is that there aren’t any fixed answers.
Life does not need to make sense.
There is no such thing as a bad decision.
And that life is a gift!

It does not matter what you do.
It does not matter where you go.
It does not matter who you are (as long as you are kind).

What does matter is that you live.
Not a half-hearted existence, but that you REALLY live!
With your heart racing.
With your soul soaring.
And instead of running the headless-chicken, your feet should be firmly planted on this beautiful planet, enjoying the steps.
Sharing chapters with exceptional humans who laugh with you and inspire you to be a better you!

So, I ask how you are to check in.
You can answer me if you like, but I want you to really check in with you!
And if something is out of sync, how do you plan to change it?

And, I ask what you really want because this is a question that tends to stump me.
We spend so much of our preparing for what is next: the career ladder, titles, our purpose and destiny… that sometimes we forget to simply live.
We forget to enjoy the now.

So, wherever you are today, whatever you are doing, I hope you are doing it with a smile on your face.
I hope that you are doing it because you want to do it.
And, just in case you forgot already, I hope that you are enjoying the gift of life!

Life is short, adventure MORE!
